VB in New York said: “I have read the comments on trying to get a modification. The exact reply was given to me. I received a 6 month defer and will again be
raised. I was also told HSBC does not participate with the stimulus plan. My husband asked if the interest rates went down, why do you increase our mortgage?

HSBC’s reply was “I don’t make the rules. We are struggling as so many people are. Our credit cards are maxed and have been reduced all so we can pay our bills without submitting to bankruptcy. If this bank was run by Americans could we all have a better chance? Do they need the money for their trips? Raises to the CEO’s?

Hopefully we can all get away from this bank as fast as possible. I know we are working on it. Another thing, they will never take my home from me. How can they allow one to beg and just mark us off as another casualty. We need to get out of their hold. Hardship letters are a laugh to them. All I know is I have shed many a tear.”
