CE in North Carolina said: “I purchased a car through Kia of Greenville (now closed) and financed through HSBC which I know longer own the car but I am now paying off. In addition HSBC sent me a credit card with a 200 dollar limit on which I charged less than 150 dollars. I wound up sending HSBC over $500 dollars in payments as the card amount continued to increase.
TO make a long story short, that credit card (issued in 2007) has now reappeared as a balance owed through FFPC/Carmel Holding LLC through the sheriff’s office for $1,108 dollars and a threat to take my assets if not paid in one day (which is tomorrow!).
I have called legal counsel and no one seems to be able to help. Regardless of the usary and trickery these cats use to get rich, they know how to work around the law. I tried to pull them up on BBB and could not. I was not given any information regarding the company (Carmel Holding) other than a name and when I tried to locate them.
I found this website. I am not surprised at these complaints as they equal mine. I just wish that there was some way to get out of this entrapment. I have notified and will continue to notify anyone and everyone I know about credit scams. I don’t wish what happened to me to happen to anyone.
The legal office I called did state that they had a few cases with the same company but did not give any further information other than the fact that the company was within their rights to go after me at this time. Proof at this point does not seem to matter.”
