SJ in Wisconsin said: “A $594.00 payment was sent to HSBC by my husband to be applied to his account. The payment was lost for 2 months.
Finally, after several inquiries HSBC sent a letter of apology to hubby and offer him a lower monthly interest. I also received a letter saying a $594.00 (actually they printed in my letter $591.00) that my husband’s payment had been posted in error to my HSBC’s account.
HSBC said that the amount would be charged as overlimit the limit fee. Now, as of May,2009 either I pay $812.00 overlimit fee or HSBC will continue to add charges.
My husband and my account numbers are no way similar. So as I continue to make my monthly payments to HSBC (I requested the overlimit fee pertaing to the $594.00 be waived). Yea? Right! Any way by making monthly payments the $594.00 will total near two thousand dollars. Maybe more.
It’s a HSBC Discover card. Well! I’ve complained to HSBC. No satisfaction.”
