SL in Nebraska said: “My son purchased new car stereo and GPS system at Best Buy and purchased the theft & loss insurance that is carried by BFC Insurance Agency of Nevada, a compnay owned by HSBC which manages Best Buys credit card accounts. The car was broken into and the stereo & GPS stolen. We submitted a claim to BFC and 2 months later they wrote a letter saying they had never received the claim and when we tried to send the information again they informed us it was too late and our claim was denied. We called and wrote repeatedly but they refused to honor the claim or discuss it. It was sent prioity mail (which only takes 3 days for deliverly) the first time, so I know they received it. But it was to their advantage to deny this claim since now the Best Buy credit card charges can still be collected by them.”
