CC in California said: “I have an HSBC credit that was used to purchase my two quads in 2007. I was a little behind in two payments, in which I called and talked to representatives each time and post dated two checks to make the payments. I talked with them at length in regards to the situation, in which they advised to not worry, everything is ok if you post date these checks.
You will owe your next payment (same amount the next month) according to HSBC reps.
Not one time, and even when I asked is everything alright, did they go into any detail about ramnifications of the interest going from 13.9 to 24.99 percent! If payments were not made at any other time frame. HSBC advised as long as i made the two payments i was making, it would be ok. Clearly that was not true.
My monthly payment went from $213 to almost $500 a month and they will not budge, even after continuous attempts of repeated calls from me to so many people, supervisors of them giving me misleading information.
Is there any help? How can HSBC get away with what they are doing to consumers?”
