SR in California asks:  “Paid HSBC in full on a zero interest account. Recieved a bill stating that I still owe $0.02 in 3 days or I will be charged all the interest on a zero interest promotion charge accured to this point. I looked up the deposited check and it states the correct amount – HSBC entered the incorrect amount by $0.02. Is this a common practice? Is this legal?”

Editors Note:  This is a new all-time low, even for predatory lender HSBC Finance Corporation, formerly known as Household International.  This division of HSBC, according to some experts, is in bad shape.  This report, however, casts doubt on the integrity and trustworthiness of the entire division.
