ET in Indiana said: “I became disabled and lost my job. With mounting stress and depression, I attempted suicide. After recovery, I called and talked to various lenders and companies that I had accounts with.

Every single one was polite and worked with me to set up a payment plan - most even putting my account “on hold” for a few months, where I would have a bit more interest accrue but wouldn’t face late fees, negative credit reports, phone calls, etc - except HSBC.

When I explained my situation and asked for help setting up a repayment plan, the representative said she would “make a note of it”. Apparently that’s all it was, because they are calling me up to ten times a day and refuse to do ANYTHING except tack on more fees.

HSBC company is going to send me back to the mental hospital…pay off your accounts ASAP and never do business with them again.”
