TD in Ohio said: “We had an automobile loan with HSBC. We had damage done to our vehicle. The insurance company sent us a check in our name and HSBC. My husband fixed the car. We sent the check to HSBC and they applied it to our loan. Then HSBC said we didn’t have a payment due until april 15 2009.

Two weeks before this they contacted us saying that they made a mistake and that we were now 6 months behind on our car payments, and they were coming to reposses it. They showed up at our door, got the car, and the insurance money. We have all of our statements stating we didn’t owe anything until April 15th 2009.”
