KS in Idaho reports: “We filed our taxes back in 4/2005 on HR Block’s on-line. HSBC (whom we had never heard of) was offering early refund loans…we thought since it was on the HR Website it was legit. We filed, got our money and then paid off the account later. I pulled off our credit report and on all three agencies..hsbc tax on there as open/current. i am having a hard time trying to get a phone number to call them. It is reported as HSBC/TAX PO Box 15524, Wilmington, DE 19850. I want it closed and am having a hard time getting a response from them to help me out. I have mailed three letters to them within the last 3 months and have yet to hear from them.”
