Where Ocwen is the servicer for HSBC we now have insight into shortsales. Ocwen also has contracts and relationships with the Veterans Administration. We protested that relationship due to Ocwen’s legal problems prior to the contract with the VA, but protests were ignored. This is a report pertaining to Ocwen and HSBC:
Our request to Ocwen servicing for HSBC:
I am in desperate need of some assistance. I am representing a homeowner who submitted a short sale completed package over 60 days ago. He is about to be homeless because the offshore representatives cant assist with any information or grant an extension on the trustee sale which is March 20th.They have been absolutely adamant that no postponements are ever granted on trustee sales. I am only asking for another month. With over 20 short sales in escrow, every single one has granted an extension to allow for closing. I have a buyer who is prequalified and is ready to close in 20 days notice. Ocwen is still reviewing the file with no new information available. The problem is the current owner needs to know within days if he needs to be out of his home with his wife and two children, one of which is a newborn. Please direct this to the attention of someone who will actually touch the file At this point I just want to make sure out mutual client has a place to live. Everything else, I am willingly patient and holding on for an answer but on this one subject I need immediate assistance.
Thank you in advance for keeping a family in their home just a little longer..
The answer:
Ocwen does not place foreclosures on hold for pending short sales.
