I am an employee with HSBC and I just wanted to send out some information that may be interesting to some. I first must say that until now I have always been a huge supporter of the company and it’s initiatives.
The beginning of this year the company came up with a so called Pilot program that was suppose to help keep the company and the employees satisfied, well should I say that this Pilot no one knows what we are doing. We don’t know what the Pilot is or how it is different than the regular, Hybrid as referred to, except that we are limited to products and they are not.
The collection idea was a great one but it even bypassed the so called Pilot branches which if not mistaken was the whole idea from corporate behind forming the Pilot. It just does not make sense.
Now on to the part that is just completely wrong and bad behavior from a corporation. It came time for annual review and for the past 10 years since being with the company, the managers have always had a say in the employees ratings for annual review and salary raises. This year it was kept hush hush and taken from managers who got no say so and then no one would talk about raises. Then get told that there would be no raises at all given out.
This is just totally not fair. If you set goals at beginning of year and set expectations then you should adhear to what was set out. I am sure that the corporate heads received raises and didn’t take the losses that the branch network employees did.
I just don’t understand what is going on. All we need is for someone to have the nads to step up and just be straight forward with everyone. Wonder what will be next for us, closing the doors?
