A Kansas customer of Musician’s Friend said: “Seems a new trick for those of us that went “green” and eliminated mailed Musicians Friend HSBC statements is: They quit e-mailing out statements, and hammer you with a late charge. I’m curious how many they pulled this on and made major income?” That is a very good question. If you did not receive your “Green Statement” just let us know and we will publish your report. If it looks like a new trend for our trend analysis software we will track it like a hound dog on a possum. Meanwhile, report it to your attorney general.

For those who may not realize it, Musicians Friend has a huge distribution center in Kansas City Missouri, right across the Kansas state line, between the Fedex distribution centers off of Highway 210. Their retail store is also part of the distribution center. HSBC Finance, formerly known as predatory lender Household International, handles all financing and billing for the Musician’s Friend credit card. Such credit cards are know as private label or store brand cards. That seems to be the problem in a nutshell. Mailing statements to customers, and crediting payments in a timely manner also seemed to present problems for HSBC.
