An employee asks “I’m an SAE from Hye Paks district. I was wondering if you got any reports about plans for HSBC to pull out of California. My BSM got off the phone with DSM Hye Pak and said something big is about to happen in California. We will find out by conference call on Nov 20, 2008. My BSM couldn’t get into specifics but hinted that California operations are going to cease to exist.”
