Did HSBC reduce your credit line? Did your available credit drop in recent months? HSBC has company in this arena.

Recent quarterly reports confirmed the rapid reduction in consumers’ credit card liquidity through pulled credit lines. In aggregate, Bank of America, Citigroup, and JPMorgan Chase, which represent three-fifths of all unused credit lines, cut $320 billion in lines during the first quarter of 2009.

HSBC is ranked in the other two-fifths.
