HSBC lets AE’s go as of today paying them to the end of the month before severence kicks in. The BSM and SA have to stay to close the branch so they can get their severence. How do one class of people (AE’s) get paid time off (other) while others still have to work.. SOUNDS LIKE UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICE TO ME! CLASS ACTION? Most SA’s are Female and most AE’s are Male (sex discrimination?) Sounds like we have something here. Rally together and fight!

In response to “HSBC Employee asks about unfair labor practice” A discrimination suit won’t fly. While I think the way they are doing it is unfair…some people getting paid for having to report to work while others do, most managers are male. Many AE’s do not know how to take payments, help with the audit or run loans…so it makes sense that the SA stays to help the managers.

I think it is BS that other people get to be on the payroll while looking for work. If you don’t agree to their terms…you lose your severence package….their “payoff” to go away.

If you can find something illegal about them requiring some employees to work and not requiring most of the staff to work…then maybe I’d be on board.
