I used to work for Beneficial, my branch closed Oct 2008. One of the upper level executives actually came to KY and walked into our branch with our DM. I got my severance, I got my pay. What I didn’t get and have given up now trying to get it back. I have tried for almost a year now to get my Employee stock options money back.

When an employee joins their stock purchase the money is collected for a year then the option is exercised. I was told by the HR rep on the conference call we had during the termination that I would get my ESPP back within 90 days. I only had about $100 and some odd dollars because the new plan had only started in August.

I have sent email after email to both HR in Chicago and my regional HR in North Carolina. Well in another month it will be one year and that piece of crap company still kept my money.

Just for the record at Beneficial we hardly ever made mortgages until HFC bought our company and ruined it. Prior to HFC my branch may have issued one mortgage every two months and after HFC bought us that was the only mission.

We were staying in the branch until midnight on the nights of rescission sometimes closing up to 8 to 10 loans on rescission day alone.

HFC was the problem, Beneficial was a good company until HFC showed up. HFC was so vile that they did a great deal of damage to HSBC as large as they are and they will see a great deal bad goodwill for awhile to come.

There probably isn’t much you can do regarding my stock money but it was the principle, I hated HFC for buying Beneficial and destroying a good company. Since the closing I to have now become a victim of losing my home.

Side note. As part of my severance my health insurance was going to be paid by my severance money until Dec 31, 2008 and then I was to receive 3 months of company paid cobra coverage.

They cancelled my insurance in January and Blue Cross and HSBC both refused to reinstate it. I was trying to move out of the home I was going to lose and didn’t have time to fight it but I hate that F***ing company.
