I was fired from HSBC one year ago – like lots of people in California.
HSBC stands for HONG KONG SHANGHAI BANK. They are NOT interested in “helping Americans” – or anyone for that matter.
BEST BUY CARD-DON’T DO IT! HSBC is scamming for free interest, no payments, whatever! DON’T DO IT.
NO ONE EVER GETS the PROMO. HSBC states they can change any term at any time – they do.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING that HSBC card finances or you will get debt cancelation fees, horrible interest, and damaged credit.
THEY charge customers to make payments – they also charge you not to make payments and they will stiff you in many creative ways – all listed here.
IT IS CHEAPER TO PAY FULL PRICE AT any reliable local store or WALMART for Christmas items – because they have honest credit practices.
READ the bottom of ANY STORE OFFER! If it says HSBC card, figure they have you. DO NOT DO IT!
ALSO – if you are in collections with HSBC you will probably get a new offer from ORCHARD BANK for a new card! DO NOT FILL IT OUT! They take the information and give it to collections!
THESE people screwed America by making loans people could not pay. They screw people on their credit cards.
I am not bitter – I have a great new job with an HONEST COMPANY.

Best Buy knows this! Wait until the SAKS 5th Avenue person – who deferred payments on the SAKS card – gets bowled over – its going to happen.
