I have read many articles on here, and I am impressed I have to say!

Something else to consider:

HSBC is indicating that they are trying to weed out the bad performers, right? Ok, right!

HSBC used the 20/70/10 method. 20% of staff can get a 1 rating Above average- you go above and beyond , 70% fall into the average- your doing your job, 10% HAVE to fall into the Under Achieving category. Which requires a corrective action to follow…..

HSBC has used this method for at least 4 years now. A somewhat smart person would eventually get the jest of what they are doing here. The 20/70/10 method was never intended to be used for many, many, years in a row, because you are pushing the good workers to be under achievers. We all know the only people who get rated 1 and 2 are the Sr. Managers because we place them there - because we are good workers.

So to think I was once a 1, a few years passed and I become a 4 now. Who do you think is being pushed out? Not the SR team, it’s the worker bees.
