Topic Title: Best Buy Card Paid Off, CSR's Lied

JP said : "I had a Best Buy card through HSBC. After paying the debt off, they continue to harass me regarding interest I am not responsible for. I had purchased their "insurance" for the card and though I was laid off, never used it (wanting instead to pay the debt as the honorable man I am). Their Customer Service people flat out lied to me when I made the final payment stating that I was not going to be responsible for the interest. They had changed the cut-off date to the middle of a billing month and notified me in a bill that arrived AFTER that date. They continue to hassle myself and family. Being currently unemployed (after 8 years with a major US law firm) has already forced me to sell many personal items and soon could lose the house that my teenage daughter, grandson and I live in."
