Topic Title: Not My HSBC NV on My Credit Report

SB in Illinois asks "I recently ran my credit report and found an unknown account with an overdue balance of $835.00 and the account name HSBC NV. Can you please help me with this? I know nothing of this account yet the account is reported past due 180 days and the credit line is closed. I'm confused by this and am hoping to find resolution to the mysterious account. It's affecting my credit score."
