Topic Title: No Debt Management Problems Except HSBC
K.S. in Kansas said in an email report:
"In March 2005 I turned to a debt management program to achieve a reasonable resolution of my outstanding credit card debts. Since that time, all of my credit cards have had no problems with timeliness of payments EXCEPT HSBC. They have charged me with "late payment fees" on four occasions, even though I can prove (using their own documents) that the reason I have been "late" was due to their own accounting program posting a payment on one bill that should have been applied to the following due date.
I have all the evidence compiled and available to anyone who wants to receive it, and intend to submit it to the Kansas Attorney General's Office and Congressman Dennis Moore's office immediately after the first of the year. I believe there are more out there who have been the target of these deceptive practices and am interesting in forming a class-action party to force HSBC to reevaluate their accounts and reassess the proper interest rates and fees as applicable."

HSBC Watch, Guess what? I GOT 'EM! I just checked my HSBC Union Plus account, and mysteriously there are three "late payment fee credits" on the current statement. All this after I sent them all the proof I told you about and demanded a response no later than 30 December if they wanted their response to be included with my Attorney General's and Congressman's complaint packages. I know they haven't received any questions from either of these parties yet, so I'm quite sure this is far from the end of this. If they think that by giving me a refund of three of the four "late payment fees" is going to be enough, they're dead wrong. All the unending phone calls, double the agreed-upon interest for most of last year and god-knows-what-all that's been posted to my credit reports makes me figure they owe me a lot more than $105.00 Now it's time to start looking for an attorney -- know anyone interested?
